2336-Zonulin Family Peptide

Zonulin Family Peptide is identified as a tight-junction regulating protein. Zonulin is an established serum marker for intestinal permeability and is upregulated in diseases such as celiac disease and type 1 diabetes and strong correlations were observed with various metabolic markers, including fasting plasma glucose, IL-6, HDL, and triglyceride (TG) levels. Zonulin and another Family peptide properdin have also been associated with viral respiratory tract infections.
